You are NOT a FAILURE if you only workout once a week, if you have a cheat meal, or if you can't meal prep thoroughly. We all have busy, chaotic schedules at times and that is totally understandable.
This week is rough for me because of summer festivities and birthday celebrations. I am choosing when it's okay for me to have dessert and when to pass it up. Eating cake three days in a row isn't practicable for me. While I know it will taste good, I won't feel well after the fact. I have chose to only indulge in cake one day this week instead and to skip the other two opportunities. I am in my second trimester of my pregnancy, and I want to nourish my child to the best of my ability and to choose healthy options for my meals (which means less desserts). Since I know I've eaten more than usual the last few days, I am making sure I stick to my workouts as well. I marked my calendar to attend the gym at least 3 days this week and that's a commitment I chose to make for myself.
Today, I challenge anyone who is trying to get back on the wagon with their fitness goals to declare their September commitments because your life may get crazy with inconsistency just like mine does at times. That doesn't mean if we aren't all-in, that we won't make a change in our development, energy and strength. To live in extremes is a really TOUGH thing to do.
IN THIS MOMENT NOW, please give yourself a break before you feel down about yourself. INSTEAD, be proud of something you have accomplished thus far in your fitness journey. Remember, fit isn't a destination -- it's a way of life!
